In addition to holding two craft sessions at the conference, a faculty member of the JHU M.A. in Writing Program will read your fiction, nonfiction or poetry submission submitted in advance of the conference. Submission deadline is May 1, 2006. Schedule a discussion for Saturday, June 10, 2006 between 10 a.m.–5:30 p.m. This review is for WIW Members only, and the fee is $125 per category. Rules and Guidelines

1. Writers must be WIW members.

2. Submissions will be accepted for:

Nonfiction: No more than 20 pages. Nonfiction submissions can be essay, article, memoir or part of a book proposal.

Fiction: No more than 20 pages. Fiction can be short story or novel excerpts.

Poetry: No more than 10 pages.

3. Submissions and payment must be received in the WIW office no later than Monday, May 1, 2006.

4. The cost of participating in the critique program is not included in the flat conference fee. Manuscript review participants do not have to attend the conference if they do not wish to. The critique fee is $125 for each category.

Each author will receive a 20-minute in-person meeting with a faculty member at the Cafritz Conference Center. The faculty member will contact you directly to schedule your one-on-one meeting.

Each JHU faculty member has agreed to see a maximum of six students, so space is limited. Slots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis for manuscripts received in the WIW office.
